Product Description

Robust 3PDT slide switch designed for electric fans and small home appliances. Provides simultaneous switching of three independent circuits, ideal for speed selection (Low/Medium/High), capacitor tap routing, or multi-function control in AC fan designs. Smooth, positive detents with a reinforced metal bracket ensure reliable operation under vibration. Available for PCB through‑hole mounting or panel installation with solder lugs.

Key features and specifications:

  • Switch type: 3PDT slide; actuation options: ON‑ON, ON‑OFF‑ON, or ON‑ON‑ON (model‑dependent)
  • Mounting: PCB THT (straight/angled pins) or panel mount with bracket; optional locating pins
  • Terminals: tin‑plated copper‑alloy pins or solder lugs; optional 2.8 mm quick‑connect tabs
  • Electrical ratings: 125 VAC 3–4 A; 250 VAC 2–3 A; 12/24 VDC up to 3 A (derate by model and load type)
  • Electrical performance: contact resistance ≤50 mΩ; insulation resistance ≥100 MΩ (@500 VDC); dielectric strength 1500 VAC/1 min
  • Mechanical performance: travel ~3–5 mm; operating force 1.5–3.0 N; crisp detents; mechanical life ≥20,000 cycles
  • Materials: flame‑retardant PA66/PBT housing (UL 94 V‑0); copper‑alloy contacts with silver/nickel plating; stainless/nickel‑plated slider and bracket
  • Environment: operating temperature −20 to +85 °C; dust protection to IP40; suitable for indoor appliance use
  • Compliance: RoHS/REACH; designed to align with IEC/EN 61058 and relevant appliance standards (model‑dependent)

Applications:

  • Three‑speed selection in AC fans via winding/capacitor tap switching
  • Mode selection (power, timer, oscillation light circuit) in fan control panels
  • Multi‑circuit control in small household appliances and air movers

Options and customization:

  • Actuator length/shape/color; center‑off or continuous three‑step logic
  • Gold‑plated contacts for low‑level signal reliability
  • Extended bracket, anti‑loosening hardware, custom PCB footprint and marking plates

Design notes:

  • For mains applications, observe creepage/clearance on the PCB and insulation class; switch the line conductor per local regulations
  • Apply derating for inductive loads and motor inrush; use RC snubbers or diode suppression where appropriate
  • Not recommended to switch high starting currents or compressor motors directly; pair with relays/triacs/contactors
  • Verify pole/function mapping, wiring, and panel cutout before design‑in; follow soldering profiles and prevent solvent ingress during cleaning
