Product Description

The VH3.96 plug is a 3.96 mm pitch crimp-style wire connector designed to mate with VH3.96 PCB headers (SMT or THT) for medium-to-high current power and signal interconnects. It offers polarized, shrouded housings and a positive latch for secure, mistake-free mating, making it ideal for appliances, power supplies, LED drivers, and industrial control systems.

Key features

  • Pitch: 3.96 mm; positions: 2–12 (single row; custom counts on request)
  • Termination: crimp female receptacle contacts; loose-piece or reel
  • Wire range: AWG16–22 (approx. 1.3–0.3 mm²), dependent on terminal type
  • Mating: pairs with VH3.96 PCB headers (vertical/right‑angle, SMT/THT)
  • Polarization and locking: keyed housing with friction/positive latch; shrouded walls for guidance
  • Materials: housing PA66/PBT, UL94 V‑0; contacts copper alloy, nickel underplate + matte tin; selective gold on contact area optional
  • Electrical ratings (typical; see datasheet):
    • Current: up to ~10 A per contact (wire gauge and pin count dependent)
    • Voltage: up to 250 V AC/DC
    • Contact resistance: ≤ 10 mΩ (typical)
    • Insulation resistance: ≥ 1000 MΩ; withstand: ≥ 1500 VAC/1 min
  • Environment: −25 to +105 °C; halogen‑free options available
  • Compliance: RoHS and REACH
  • Packaging & docs: housings in bags; terminals in reels; 2D/3D data, crimp specs, and assembly guidelines available

Typical applications

  • White goods control boards, AC/DC PSUs, LED drivers
  • HVAC and industrial I/O modules
  • Battery packs, chargers, and energy storage systems
